Why are the things designed to protect your skin still so different from the things that indulge it? That was the question bugging us.
While beauty moved forward with better textures, portability and experiential formats, skin protection stayed stuck in the past - designed around the problem, not the person. Without the same consideration, it becomes the thing you forget on the shelf or one more thing between you and the outside.
And that matters because we’re spending more time outside - meeting, playing, trying, gathering and doing more. But outside comes with fr-ick-tions: interruptions that shorten plans or send you back in.
We believe protection isn’t just about what it keeps away; it shapes what you say yes to, how fully you show up and how long you stay.
Skin protection has three jobs: work hard, feel good and help you do more.
We are Bugged (enough to do something about it), so you don’t have to be.

Our dad was in the Navy, our mom spent her career in travel and hospitality. We grew up with the outside all around us.
We started our careers at Hindustan Unilever, learning from the best. We saw how much thought goes into everyday products and how much room there was to bring that thinking to skin protection. We even tried building a hotel out of our obsession with the outside. But that’s a story for another time…
Eventually, we came back to one question:
WHAT WOULD MAKE IT EASIER FOR PEOPLE TO SAY YES TO THE OUTSIDE?
